Description
I tend towards rendering single subjects suspended in negative spaces - I go back to it over and over. I think I do this because it evokes a sense of tranquility and prompts meditation. I love the quiet subject depicted in stronger contrasts. I also like to leave my penciled in lines in rather than depending more on shadow and light - I think there is something to be said for something that is not only free - hand drawn, but that it remains that way too.
