This large spider ran across my floor - I jumped about 4 ft in the air as it came right towards my bare foot! I caught it in a jar and painted it's portrait. No harm came to any spiders during the course of this rendering. The spider was freed outdoors.
My art is derived from the natural world - there is always something to learn. I work mainly with 2 medias and surfaces - either watercolor on paper, or oil on canvas. My individual subject will dictate the style - and at times will be used metaphorically.
